ESPN ties up with CSI

MUMBAI, July 23: ESPN STAR sports network has entered into a four-year agreement with London-based sports distribution network CSI to bring live coverage of international cricket on the two networks. The tie-up covers the cricket tours of Australia, South Africa and New Zealand by leading Test sides, a release stated here today. The tour of Australia by India and Pakistan, for a three-Test series with the home country and the One-day Triangular series in 1999-2000 season is a part of the live cricket coverage package, the release said. The network has brought the rights to telecast live the Sahara Cup five-match series between India and Pakistan at Toronto in September and Sri Lanka's tour of India later in the 1997-98 season, the release added. Other events include the tour of Pakistan and Sri Lanka to South Africa in 1998, the Ashes tour (1998-99) and the 1998 Youth World Cup in South Africa.
