Rs 25,000 cr. outlay for TN during Ninth Plan
CHENNAI, July 24: The Planning Commission has approved Rs 25,000 crore as the Ninth Plan outlay for TN. This is an increase of 60% over the Eigth Plan outlay of Rs 15,535 crore. The central assistance would cover basic minimum services, slum development, area programmes and other Central devolution for the State Plan. The Plan size was decided at a meeting between the chief minister, M Karunanidhi and deputy chairman of the Planning Commission, Madhu Dandavate.
