Tindivanam-Madurai road to be widened
CHENNAI, July 24: The road connecting Tindivanam and Madurai is to be widened into four lanes and a feasibility study for the proposed World Bank aided project is to be taken up in September. The Centre has given its approval for this and a number of other projects with a view to improve roads in the State. Further, the government plans to call for tenders for construction of the Karanodai bridge, off Chennai, at a cost of Rs 9 crore on a BOT basis.
