SALEM, July 24: With the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) authorities agreeing to regularise the service of contract workers as per their seniority, the six-day old strike by these workers at the Mettur Thermal Power Plant has been called-off. The workers would also get an additional wage of Rs 13 per day while those handling coal, ash, furnace oil would get Rs 14 per day.
