State level horticulture institute mooted
COIMBATORE, July 25: There is an urgent need to set up a horticulture training institute in Tamilnadu, as horticulture crops occupies about four lakh hectares representing 8% of the gross cropped area in the State, according to Abdul Kareem, vice-chancellor, TN Agricultural University.
He said that the university's collaborative research alliance with Taiwan and Columbia was progressing as expected.
