July 29: The bail application of Vinod Bhagat, the son of matka king Kalyanji Bhagat, arrested on a complaint filed by Pradeep Vakil, chairman of Vatsa Corporation Ltd, was rejected by the metropolitan magistrate.

Vakil had alleged that Bhagat had threatened him with the help of a person close to Arun Gawli. According to the complaint in 1992 Vakil had entered into an agreement with Bhagat on terms agreed by Bhagat and himself and took possession of Bhagat's shop.
