CHENNAI, July 28: Hutment dwellers from Kulathumedu here, squatted on the Grand Southern Trunk (GST) road near Meenambakkam and blocked traffic for an hour, in protest of the attempts made by the police to remove their huts that pose as encroachments into the land that actually belongs to the Cantonment Board. Normalcy was restored only after the arrival of senior police officials who pacified ans dispersed the crowd.
