ERODE, July 28: The Chennimalai Industrial Weavers Cooperative Production and Sale Society (Chencooptex) based in Erode, Tamilnadu, has called upon the government to restore 20% rebate on handloom goods sold by the cooperative. According to Chinnusamy Gounder, president of Chencooptex, the earlier decision to reduce the rebate to 10% has adversely affected societies like Chencooptex.
