BANGALORE, July 27: A chain snatcher who tried to decamp with a lady's gold chain was caught in time by timely intervention of a nearby 'Hoysala' police patrol vehicle and four members of the public who chased the culprit and restored the chain to its owner. The patrol vehicle, which is one of the 50 newly-deployed 'Hoysalas', was alerted in time by the four people nearby who chased the culprit both on foot and in vehicles. They were be presented mementoes by the Bangalore City Police Commissioner at the venue of the crime.
