CHIKMAGALUR, July 27: The Karnataka government has withdrawn the book 'Janapada Hasya Kathegalu', (humourous folktales) from the syllabus of government higher primary schools in the state. The reason for this, as given by the government authorities, is that the book contains obscene references in one of the stories titled 'Kangolli Dasayya' which may embarass even adults readers.
