CHENNAI, August 3: Accomplished gatam exponent Umayalpuram K Narayanaswamy passed away at a private hospital here today. He was suffering from renal failure. A recipient of the Sangeeth Natak Akademi and Kalaimamani awards, 68-year-old Narayanaswamy had accompanied renowned musicians like M S Subbulakshmi.
