Nagpur jatha to visit gurudwaras in Pakistan NAGPUR: : A Sikh jatha would leave for Pakistan from Nagpur on the eve of Guru Nanak Devji celebrations from November 9 to 18. According to a press note issued by Harbhajan Singh, general secretary of the Gurudwara Shree Kalgidhar Darbar Committee and Programme Executive, the jatha would visit the historical gurudwaras Punja Saheb, Nankana Saheb, Sacha Sauda and Dehra Saheb during their visit to Pakistan. Drive against overloading of trucks NAGPUR: :The Nagpur Truck Owners and Brokers Association (NTOBA) would launch a special drive to check the overloading of trucks from August 15. According to a press note issued by Rajinder Singh Saini, secretary of the NTOBA, and Kuku Marwah, president, the Association would take strict disciplinary action against any truck owner whose truck is found loaded beyond the RTO limit. Civic merger notification soon PUNE: :The much awaited notification over the merger of the 36 fringe villages in the municipal limit is expected any time. According to top level sources, the Chief Minister has cleared the proposal and the announcement is likely to be made very soon.Municipal Commissioner Ramanath Jha, was summoned to Mumbai by the State Urban Development department on Wednesday. Sources said that technicalities over the merger - issuing the notification for inclusion of the villages in the municipal limits and their simultaneous deletion from the Pune regional revenue list, will be finalised during the meeting. Bangalore mayor on visit to Surat SURAT: :The mayor of Bangalore Padmavati Gowda, along with a ten-member delegation, is on a visit here to enlighten themselves on the success of the cleanliness drive in the textile city.
