Train passengers robbed

BANGALORE: A nine-member armed dacoit gang gained entry into one of the compartments of Bangalore-Chennai Mail near Bangarpet and robbed passengers of their valuables last night. The Railway Police here said the gang, armed with lethal weapons, terrorised the passengers and forced them to part with their valuables and fled.

AP constable shot dead by Naxals

HYDERABAD: A police constable was shot dead and another was injured in an attack by suspected Naxalites of outlawed Peoples' War Group in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh late last night. Police said adding that the cause of the attack was not known.
