BANGALORE, August 6: Karnataka has 17 lakh slum-dwellers, according State housing minister H D Revanna. Government has taken up two welfare programmes for the benefit of the slum-dwellers -- one aims to provide basic amenities like drinking water, street lights, drains and public toilets, while the other seeks to provide them houses.
