AUG 8: State Bank of India defeated Bombay Muslims 2-1 in a WIFA Senior Division football match at the Cooperage today.

Suraj Bengre and Hasmukh Baria scored for the winners.

Earlier, Reserve Bank of India defeated Companeroes 2-0 in a Division I match. Francis Cabral and Nana Alwe scored for the winners.

At the St Xavier's ground, Parel, Rhino Sports Club pipped Tata Electric 1-0 in the MES sponsored Independence Cup MDFA match. Anthony Fernandes netted the winner.

Later, Naval Dockyard beat Royal Caterers 2-1 via sudden death. Central Railway (Mumbai Division) beat Sutarwar 1-0 while All Parsees defeat Chembur English 4-3 also via sudden death after the scores were tied 1-1 at full time.
