Tillekeratne to lead
EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
COLOMBO, Aug 11: Hashan Tillekeratne, the prolific middle-order batsman who missed around two months of cricket because of an injury, is back to lead the Sri Lankan Board President's XI in a one-day warm-up game before the overs-limit international series between India and Sri Lanka commences. The match is to be played at the De Soysa Stadium in Moratuwa, about 16 kilometres from here. Tillekeratne was forced to return home from the Carribean tour after his arm was broken by a ball from Courtney Walsh. The Lankan batsman was paying the price for not playing with an arm protector in the first Test at Antigua. The Lankan selectors have included him in the match to give him some match practice after a long lay-off. THE BOARD PRESIDENT'S TEAM: Hashan Tillekeratne (captain), Russel Arnold, Mahela Jayawardena, Hemanta Wickramaratne (vice-captain), Naveed Nawaz, Avishka Gunawardena, Indika Galagoda, Bhatiya Perera, Tilan Samarawera, Bandula Ranjith, Namal Sadikeen, Ranga Yasalal, Amal Dalugoda and Indika de Saram.
