NEW DELHI: A Laloo Prasad Yadav loyalist today demanded immediate removal of CBI joint director, UN Biswas, from the on-going investigation into fodder scam case alleging that the officer was working with personal vendetta against the former Bihar Chief Minister.

In a letter to Prime Minister IK Gujral, the former Lok Sabha MP, Suryanarayan Yadav, said an impartial probe into the fodder case would not be possible under Biswas.

Rajdhani derails

GUWAHATI: Six coaches and two engines of the Delhi-bound Rajdhani Express derailed this morning following an explosion on the railway track about 130 km from here, between Guwagacha and Sarupeta stations of the Northeast Frontier (NF) railway.

Contraband seized

MUMBAI: In one of the biggest seizures of contraband this year, officers of the Air Intelligence Unit at Sahar Airport seized diamonds worth Rs 2.50 crore from a passenger departing for Bangkok.
