MUMBAI, August 11: A petition seeking action against Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray for threatening to ban Union Railway Minister Ram Vilas Paswan's entry into the state was dismissed by the Bombay High Court. The petition was filed by the Samajwadi Party.

The petitioners claimed Thackeray's statement violated fundamental rights. The judges said, ``We do not find much substance in the petition and therefore the matter is disposed off. If the railway minister's fundamental rights have been violated, he should file a petition.''
