Netaji's voice to resound during midnight session

Angana Parekh

NEW DELHI, Aug 12: Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was sadly not present in the Central Hall of Parliament on the midnight of August 14, 1947 when India achieved the freedom he had contributed so much to.

But, his voice will echo in the the Central Hall of Parliment during the special midnight session to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Independence.

At this late juncture, the Government is learnt to have decided to include a short, two-line excerpt from one of his speeches in the programme. Sources reveal that Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral himself had asked that this be effected after the matter was brought up by Lok Sabha Congress MP Krishna Bose, Netaji's kin.
