CHENNAI, Aug. 11: A surgical team led by Dr. V V Bashi, chief cardiac surgeon, at the Malar Heart Foundation, performed a unique surgery of repairing the heart valve of an 82-year old man. The patient is stated to be oldest in the country to undergo the surgery, considering his age and the high-risk category to which he belonged.
