SA eves champs, India fourth

HARARE, Aug 13: South Africa won a penalty shootout 4-2 to see off New Zealand after the sides had finished level at 2-2 in the final of the World Cup qualifying tournament here today. India finished fourth, losing 1-3 in penalty shoot-out to Scotland after both the teams were locked 1-1 at the end of regulation time. Scotland went ahead in the 14th minute through a goal by Simpson, but India drew level in the 44th minute when Ekka found the target. India, however, capitulated in the tie-breaker to go down 1-3.
