BANGALORE, Aug. 12: The Bangalore Jilla Powerloom and Handloom Workers Union staged a dharna in front of the Labour Commissioner's office, demanding implementation of minium wages and seeking a paid holiday on August 15. According to Meenakshi Sundaram, general secretary of the union, the workers will observe a strike on September 29 if the government fails to meet their demands.
