CHENNAI, Aug. 12: An official at the Chennai Port Trust, S Ramu, was arrested for accepting a bribe of Rs 5000 by the CBI's anti-corruption wing. The complaint was filed by a resident in Ayanavaram who alleged that he was promised a clerical job in the Port Trust by Ramu. The official was arrested and later released on bail. The search in his residence also revealed incriminating documents.
