CHENNAI, August 24: Snake skins, valued at about Rs 80,000, have been seized by Tamil Nadu Forest Department officials from a house at Moolakadai area. The skins, of cobras and rat snakes, numbering over 3,000, were said to have been brought from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, and tanned illegally in a small unit. After the tanning process, the snake skins were being sent back to Andhra Pradesh, officials said. One person has been arrested in this connection.
