Kerala draws up plans to mark golden jubilee year
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, August 24: Kerala has drawn up a set of ambitious plans to mark the golden jubilee of Indian independence. These include schemes to end child labour and check the school drop-out rate. Novel welfare-measures planned include setting up of drug banks at taluk, district and medical college hospitals and starting a social security scheme for girls.
