11.5% hike in air fare, rail freight rates up
Indian Airlines (IA) has decided to hike its domestic fares by 11.5% to offset the increase of Rs 196 crore in its operational costs while the Union Railway Ministry has decided to spare travellers from a hike though freight charges for some essential commodities have been raised.

Maharashtra may agree to partial restructuring of MSEB
Despite strong protests from leading trade unions, the Sena-BJP Government is likely to partially implement the recommendations of the Rajadhyaksha Committee on restructuring of the crisis-ridden Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB). A final decision in this regard by the State Cabinet is likely on Tuesday.
