EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
BANGALORE, Nov 4: Former Union railway minister C K Jaffer Sharief yesterday appeared before the CBI designated court in connection with a case registered against him for amassing property disproportionate to his known source of income. However, Judge K Radhkrishna Holla adjourned the case to November 17. Despite the CBI chargesheet Sharief, the court had granted him bail on the condition that he would appear before the court. But yesterday, Sharief's counsel pleaded to exempt the former Union minister from personal appearance before the court. The counsel also sought information on the seized documents. While adjourning the case, the judge said he would examine the request by Sharief for exemption from court appearance on November 17.
