CALCUTTA, Nov 4: The 64TH Senior and 22nd Junior National Billiards and Snooker Championship will be held at the Calcutta Club and the Bengal Rowing Club from Janury 3 to 17 1998. The meet, organised by the West Bengal Billiards Association and sponsored by the garment manufacturers, Uniworth Group, will see most of the top names in the two games competing for honours.

Twenty affiliated units of the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India have confirmed their entries so far. The billiards field in the seniors section will have 42 competitors, while the snooker field will have two more. In the junior section, 34 and 36 players have confirmed their participations already.
