Cong may join ministry, says Dilip Parikh

GANDHINAGAR, November 4: Gujarat Chief Minister Dilip Parikh has said there was a possibility of the Congress joining his ministry to make it a coalition government.``However, we have not yet received any communication to this effect from the Congress leaders,'' he said. Parikh said the 16-member ministry would be expanded in the second phase after seeking a vote of confidence in the state assembly on November 13. The portfolios to the ministers would be allocated thereafter, he said.Parikh said most of the 35 ministers of the outgoing Shankarsinh Vaghela government would be retained in his ministry besides inclusion of the three independent MLAs -- Usmangani Devdiwala, Pabubha Manek and Upendrasinh Gohil.
