NASHIK, Nov 5: The Nashik Zilla Parishad (ZP) president Pandurang Raut of the Shiv Sena has sought the protection of Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, following undue intervention in his work by Shiv Sainiks and local party leaders. Raut, a tribal from Harsul (Peth taluka), was elected to the ZP in March this year and subsequently became the president. In a letter to Thackeray last week, Raut stated that his own party men were not allowing him to take decisions, imposing their will on him. In his letter, Raut has offered to resign from the presidentship of the ZP.
