MUMBAI, November 5: Actor Sunil Dutt and RPI leader R S Gavai are among five persons nominated for the Maulana Azad awards for communal harmony.The others chosen for the awards are social worker Vipla Kadri, journalist Vishwanath Sachdev and leading doctor Dr L H Hiranandani, said a release of the minority cell.

The awards, instituted by the minority cell of the Mumbai Regional Congress Committee to celebrate the golden jubilee of Indian Independence, will be presented at the Anjuman-e-Islam grounds on Saturday. The selection committee was headed by Dr Rafiq Zakaria, former Maharashtra minister and Islamic scholar.
