Govt undervaluing NTC land: Bhujbal

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA

KOPARGAON, Nov 5: Congress leader Chhagan Bhujbal has charged the Maharashtra Government with trying to sell off additional land of the National Textile Corporation (NTC) cotton mills at a lesser price.

Bhujbal told PTI at Sonai, about four km from here yesterday, that the said land was being sold for Rs 1800 crore when its current market value was Rs 2500 crore. This was being done, he alleged, due to the intervention of Uddhav Thackeray. He described the Govt action of calling for tenders for the same as ``drama'' and said the issue would be raised in the winter session of the State Legislature.

Bhujbal said the Govt's decision to privatise ports would uproot the people of the Konkan belt and that the agricultural community would face starvation.
