NASHIK, Nov 11: An indefinite hunger strike by Sinnar Municipal Council president Harishchandra Londhe and 16 councillors in front of the NMC, to protest against the supply of contaminated water to Sinnar, was withdrawn on Monday evening after minister of state for rural development and Sinnar MLA Tukaram Dighole intervened. A three-member committee comprising representatives of the Sinnar Council, NMC and the Maharashtra Water Supply and Sewerage Board, will monitor the water filtration project.
