* The University of Mumbai's inter-collegiate athletic meet will be held at the University sports ground, Marine Lines from November 14.

The detailed programme of the three-day event will be released tomorrow, states a Uniersity release.

Hockey trials

* The selections trials to pick the University of Mumbai men's hockey team will be held at the Khalsa College ground, King's Circle, Matunga on November 15.

Players have been asked to report at 8 a.m. at the venue.

CRICKET: The trials to choose the University of Mumbai women's cricket team will also be held at the Khalsa College ground on November 18, adds a University note.The players should report to the selection committee at 1.30 p.m. on the aforesaid date at the venue.

* The Mumbai Cricket Association has decided to throw open the gates for the Mumbai vs Maharashtra one-dayer and four-day Ranji Trophy match commencing from November 15.Entry for the matches to be played at the Brabourne Stadium will be from the North Stand, says a MCA release.

* Golden Boys, Byculla, defeated St Anthony's, Dadar, 2-1 to emerge tops in the All-Mumbai Open Rink football tournament, sponsored by PN Writers and Thums Up, recently.
