MUMBAI, November 18: Mumbai will neither host any of the Tests against Australia early next year or the triangular one-day series that follows when the two nations will be joined by Zimbabwe. Kanpur, Chennai and Calcutta will host the three against Australia, according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary, JY Lele. Delhi would host the final of the three-nation one-day series that follows in April. The seven-match triangular series is to be held from April 2-14, according to the schedule drawn up by the tours programmes and fixtures committee of the BCCI yesterday at Delhi. The triangular series would be played in daylight on a double-leg, round-robin basis with the top two teams meeting in the final at the Ferozshah Kotla on April 14. Following are the venues and dates for the round robin games: Jaipur (April 2), Baroda (April 4), Kochi (April 6), Jamshedpur (April 8), Vishakapatnam (April 10) and Faridabad (April 12). The Aussies are scheduled to arrive in India on February 21 and are to open their tour on February 23 with a three-day match, in all likelihood, at Bangalore, Lele said. Incidentally, the ACB had written to the BCCI not to include Delhi in their cricketers' tour programme because of breathing problems faced by the Australian players during last year's one-off Test at Kotla. However, the BCCI has chosen to award the final of the triangular series to Delhi. The Australians tour games: Board President's XI (at Bangalore), India under 25 XI (at Pune) and Rest of India at Hyderabad.
