MUMBAI, November 21: The secretary of the recently formed formed Hockey Association of Mumbai (HAM), Avitus D'Cruz has registered a criminal complaint of defamation against Bombay Hockey Association (BHA) secretary KL Passi.

D'Cruz reacted to Passi's statement in a section of the press where he stated that the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) had rejected HAM's claim to taking over administration of the sport in the city.

Press reports quoted Passi as saying that IHF chief KPS Gill had told him on telephone that the IHF did not intend undermining BHA's authority.
