RSEB to offer Suratgarh project for pvt sector on BOOM basis
Major power and infrastructure projects in Rajasthan are being offered for private participation. While the Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB) has offered the second stage of the Suratgarh Coal Thermal Power Station which requires an investment in the range of Rs 2,500 crore for private sector participation on Build, Own, Operate and Maintain (BOOM) basis, the National Highway Authority of India has invited tenders for completing the Rs 70 crore Jaipur highway project.

Former prime minister V P Singh today tore the interim report of the Jain Commission to shreds saying that it was nothing more than a rehash of the affidavit filed before it by the Congress. In a point-by-point rebuttal of the observations made against him by Jain Singh said that the report could well have been given six years ago after the Congress affidavit was filed.
