Bandra film set collapses, one dead

MUMBAI, November 23: One person died and nine others from a film production unit were seriously injured when the first floor of a newly created set collapsed on Sunday evening at Bandra (West), fire brigade sources said. The set, erected by Glamour films, was situated on the ground opposite Rangsharda auditorium at Bandra reclamation. But even before it was ready, a portion of the first floor of the three-storeyed structure collapsed, killing Harishankar Singh and injuring nine others from the unit.Those injured were taken to the Bhabha hospital in Bandra (West). Their condition is reported to be stable.

The injured persons have been identified as Dinesh Rawat, Ushiakhtar Afzal Sheikh, Shanbahari Sukunabhik, Nandlal Usvar Vishwakarma, Omprakash Shivlakhan Chauhan, among others.
