AIADMK(T) expels Jaya's supporters

[Details] The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (Thirunavukkarasu group) (AIADMK (T)) on Tuesday expelled three Jayalalitha supporters, former ministers S Muthusamy and S Kannappan, besides the party's Rajya Sabha MP, D Mastan, from its primary membership, for "violating party discipline". The three members would be relieved from their posts with immediate effect.

SP men suspects in UP bomb attack

[Details] The police suspect involvement of a Samajwadi Party (SP) MP and an MLA in Monday evening's bomb attack on a police van carrying undertrials in Gorakhpur. The attack, which left 20 people -- including undertrials and policemen -- seriously injured, has added another gory chapter to the history of political violence in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

[Details] At a time when elections appear round the corner, the Madhya Pradesh BJP unit finds itself battling dissidence in Indore with two out of four party MLAs on war path. The dissidence assumes significance since two national office bearers Kailash Vijayavargiya and Sumitra Mahajan are from Indore which has also otherwise been a party stronghold. BJYM national vice president Vijayvargiya and his close associate L S Gaud, MLA have been served show cause notices after their group boycotted two important meetings.
