Ganguly, Tendulkar obliterate 45-year-old record
Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar along with Saurav Ganguly dominated the day two of the third and final Test at Wankhede stadium. Both the players put Lankan bowlers to sword. Tendulkar completed his half-century to cross 4,000 runs in Test cricket in his 86th innings -- the seventh Indian to reach the milestone. While, Ganguly strode majestically and duly got his fifth Test hundred and surpassed his previous highest of 147.
| India regrets "aspersions" on Nepal royals in Jain report
India has assured Nepal that it strongly denounced the "groundless and misguided" references in the Jain Commission interim report casting aspersions of "a very serious" nature on their majesties, the king and the queen of that country. Centre regretted such aspersions and has claimed to dissociate itself from the reports.
