WARDHA, Dec 9: Heavy rains for four days in succession followed by a hailstorm on the fifth in different parts of the district hit the rabi crops to a great extent causing crop damage to the tune of Rs five crore.

Incessant rains and hailstorm had hit the crops in this district in October as well. The recent rains proved to be yet another blow to the crops even before they could recover.
