December 9: A man who killed his mother three years ago following a property dispute was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Sessions Court today.Additional Sessions Judge P K Gaikwad observed that the accused Alwyn Furatado had tried to cover up his heinous crime by trying to prove that his mother Leena Furtado had committed suicide on December 94. Alwyn was booked under section 302, 201 of the IPC and he was arrested by the Khar Police on December 18, 1994.
