Mumbai Notes -- Roongta group raided

MUMBAI, December 9: The Investigation Wing of the Income Tax department today raided 15 premises of the Roongta group, manufacturers of cloth used with rexin articles. Though figures of alleged undisclosed income were unavailable, the raids continued till late Tuesday evening. Four of these premises are in Gujarat and 11 in Mumbai, said IT sources. Dharna All India Milli Council will hold a dharna on December 10 at Hutatma Chowk to protest the massacre of more than 70 Dalits in Bihar by the Ranvir Sena. Appointed An orthopedic surgeon Dr J P Jain attached to the WR's Jagjivan Ram Hospital has been appointed as a member on the editorial board of international medical journals Orthopedics and Orthopedic International. He was also appointed visiting professor by Louisiana State University Medical centre, New Orleans, USA. Festival Aavishkar, the annual festival of the Seth G S Medical College will kick of on December 23, 24 and 25. The theme of the festival this year is `The Sixth Element.
