HBAMC to merge with Credit Capital AMC

[Details] HB Asset Management Company (HBAMC) has announced its merger with Credit Capital Asset Management Company (CAMCO). The merger is the first of its kind in the domestic mutual fund industry. The merger ratio has been fixed at 24:25, with 25 shares of HBAMC being swapped with 24 shares of Credit Capital Asset Management Company (CAMCO).

[Details] After the saga of high premium issues and entry of dubious promoters, promoters of companies seem to have taken the self-appraisal route while raising public funds for projects. The number of such self-appraised companies -- which vetted the project cost, financing details and implementation by themselves without any help from FIs and banks -- has gone up significantly.
