I am not in the race for PM's post, says Mulayam

Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that he is not in the race for the Prime Minister's post and would prefer the United Front's steering committee to decide on who would lead the Front during the campaigning for the coming polls.

The moves for unity between the two warring factions of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Himachal Pradesh have run into rough weather with the two stalwarts of BJP -- former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar and party president Prem Kumar Dhumal -- failing to reach the venue of meeting. The former chief minister reportedly boycotted the meeting due to the decision of the central leaders of the party to let the office-bearers continue till the Lok Sabha elections.
