Leghari vows to take on Nawaz Sharif "politically"
PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
BEIJING, DEC 10: Former Pakistan President Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari, who bowed out of office after a bitter power struggle last week, has vowed to take on politically Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif government. Leghari, whose resignation gave first round victory to Sharif, said he may head an alliance to challenge the government. He, however, said he had not yet decided whether to form his own party or an alliance of different groups. Accusing Sharif, of trying to subjugate the judiciary, Leghari told South China Morning Post that the political and constitutional crisis in Pakistan was not yet over and that there was a need for a common effort to ``restore'' the supremacy of law and the constitution.
