Hinduja to meet MMPKB in semifinals

MUMBAI, December 10: Two goals from Deepak Divankar booked a berth for PD Hinduja in the semi-finals after defeated Miners SC 4-1 in a second division play-off organised by MDFA at St Xavier Ground, Parel. Hinduja will be take on MMPKB in the semi-finals. Hinduja started well and took an early lead in the ninth minute as Divankar netted a goal from 30 yards. Five minute into second half, Divankar added another blow to Miners. In the 45th minute, Rajesh Rane made it 3-0 in favour of the winners with a close range shot and giving Miners custodian Sabu Johnson no chance. Philip Dhabadabe left the Miners helpless when he dented their defence with his exceptional ball control in the 55th minute. Savio Diaz bought one back for the Miners, minutes before the final whistle. Earlier Naval Dockyards failed to turn-up against CRMD in a Super Division League match.
