MUMBAI, December 10: Lucrative prize money will be on offer in the Police Shield Invitational cricket tournament, in its Golden Jubilee year, this year. The total prize money is Rs 1.9 lakh, with the winning team earning Rs 1 lakh and the runners-up Rs 40,000 and various other individual cash prizes.The tournament, which is sponsored By Jayantilal Khandwala & Sons and Khandwala Securities, commences on December 13 and will be played on seven consecutive weekends. Double Dutch Scramble golf With over 270 entries already confirmed, the ABN AMRO Double Dutch Scramble is ready to tee off at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club over this weekend.Following on the huge success of last year's event and based on the popular demand, this year the Mumbai leg of the Double Dutch Scramble has been escalated into a two-day event which will played on December 13 and 14 with tee offs starting at 7.30 a.m. Natu Memorial badminton meet The fourth V V alias Dajisaheb Natu Memmorial all-India badminton championships will be organised at Pune from January 4 to 6, '98. Only senior events will be organised. The qualifying rounds will be organised on January 2 and 3.
