Nagpur braces up for winter session

NAGPUR, DEC 12: Elaborate arrangements have been made by the local administration for the winter session of the State Legislature beginning in the city on December 15.

A coordination and monitoring cell was opened by state PWD chief engineer Devdatta Marathe in the presence of superintending engineers S S Tekade and Shyamal Mukherjee. The cell will operate round the clock. Arrangements have also been made to house the various government departments and sections at Vidhan Bhawan and Hyderabad House.

An official release issued by Executive Engineer Vivek Ghanekar here informs that the monitoring cell has drawn up plans to house the officials according to the details submitted by the Accommodation Allotment Committee of the state legislature. The cell is being operated under the supervision of deputy engineer Rasheed Baig and assistant engineer Anil Deshmukh.

While most ministers and ministers of state are being housed in Ravi Bhawan and Nag Bhawan, Agriculture Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil will stay in the bungalow meant for the Government Press Manager.
