Angry Thackeray roars back at EC

[Details] Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray last night blasted the Election Commission questioning its right to dictate terms to political parties on their functioning and organisational elections. Thackeray, who is recovering from a minor surgery, added that the Election Commission cannot force or dictate terms (on organisational elections).

[Details] Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) president Laloo Prasad Yadav on Tuesday clinched a nationwide alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). The front, according to Laloo, would have its first meeting on December 20.

[Details] Karnataka Chief Minister J H Patel ruled out that developments in the United Front and in the state on forging new political equations would sideline former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.
